Alpharetta, GA, July 30, 2008 — Provaré Technology today annouced that it has been asked by OPTI Medical Systems to assess their current
software development processes and to make recommendations for improvement as part of their commitment to ongoing quality improvement
and rapid innovation. "I have spoken briefly with Len Owens," says Bill Tepper, CEO of Provaré Technology, "and some of the themes I am
hearing sound very familiar. I'm confident that we'll be able to help them."
Len Owens is OPTI Medical Systems VP of Quality and Regilatory Affairs and was a client of Provaré Technology in late 2004 and early 2005
when he was the Director of Quality at Theragenics. "Provaré provided such good planning and validation services for me before
that I decided to call Bill again when we needed a fresh look at our software validation practices,” says Owens.
When asked to help with process improvement of any kind, Provaré takes what seems to be a unique approach. Rather than being wedded to a particlular
process model (Six Sigma, for example) Provaré listens to the client and tries to make changes in small increments, each of which provides an immediate
measurable improvement. Improvements offering the biggest "bang for the buck" are implemented first. Provaré's recommendations draw from
any and all process models with anything positive to offer.
“The folks at Provaré are very customer focused," continues Owens. "In fact, they are a breath of fresh air as compared to other consultants
I've worked with. Most consultants try to create a niche for themselves by highlighting every possible problem area and then
offering their services as a solution to all of them – without ever spending the necessary time understanding our experience, strategy, or goals.
Provaré listens first and then helps solve problems by recommending state of the art solutions and then - most importantly - by providing the necessary
transfer of knowledge to my organization. The result is that new capabilities are built and the consulting help is no longer needed – at least
not for the originally identified need.”
"I am extremely gratified to hear Len say that," says Tepper, "because that kind of client experience is exactly our goal. We have never felt a need to
make work for ourselves. There are plenty of opportunities for improvement out there. If we work ourselves out of a job at each and every
engagement, there will always be another client who desperately needs our help."
